Microneedling is our favorite service for a reason. We have been trained and certified on over four different microneedling devices over the past twelve years, and we have compiled all of that training information to give you the best possible micro-needling treatment. Microneedling is our go-to anti-aging and acne scarring treatment because we are able to stimulate collagen production by creating micro-injuries to the skin that the body rushes to heal. You can see a visible result in acne, fine lines, and discoloration after just one microneedling treatment, although we often recommend a series of three treatments spaced about two months apart.
In order to give you the best results, we double-cleanse and disinfect the skin prior to applying a very strong topical numbing cream. We then remove the numbing cream and disinfect the skin again prior to microneedling. We use a combination of antioxidants and hyaluronic acid during the microneedling process, and then we finish the microneedling treatment with a peel in order to further disinfect the skin and to get the peel to penetrate much deeper in the skin. We helped develop this specific peel protocol with our peel manufacturer almost ten years ago, so we know the results that we can expect with this specific treatment.
After your treatment, you can expect redness and peeling that can continue for five to seven days after microneedling. You will not want to wash your skin for approximately 18 to 24 hours after your microneedling treatment. We want the skin’s micro-channels to fully close before you apply any cleanser or hydrator that we do not want to get deep into your skin, where they can actually cause irritation. We will send you home with a specific post-procedure treatment kit to use after your microneedling service. These products are meant to help calm your skin and help your skin to heal faster than using other skincare products will.
